Iran seeks to reach compromise on nuclear deal by November 24 deadline

Iran has no plans to extend negotiations on a nuclear deal with six world powers and wants to achieve a comprehensive solution by the November 24 deadline, a source in Tehran’s delegation said on Thursday.
“Despite Western media reports, we can say that over the past two days of the current round of negotiations the issue of extending the process after November 24 has not been raised,” the source said.
“Iran would not want this. We will be trying to reach a compromise within specified time,” the source said, confirming that a ministerial round of talks could be held late this week.
Officials from Iran and P5+1 group of world powers (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) gathered in Vienna this week for the last round of negotiations before a November 24 deadline to reach an accord that would end sanctions in exchange for curbs on Tehran's nuclear program.
The high-level gathering is one of series of meetings in the final weeks before the deadline expires.
The parties say they still aim to meet the deadline for a deal, despite doubts among many experts that they can reach an accord that would end a decade-old dispute over Tehran's nuclear program with just a few days remaining.
