"Haykakan Zhamanak": Armenian Major killed by Azeri sniper.

Yesterday Haykakan Zhamanak daily was informed from RA Ministry of Defense that on March 19, an incident occurred in the borderline section in Tavush, Armenia.

An Azeri sniper killed an Armenian officer.

At about 2:20pm, 35-year-old Major Artak Shahbazyan received a mortal bullet wound in the frontline in ceasefire violation by the adversary. He was taken to the Noyemberyan hospital, where he died after 5 minutes. He was commander of a battalion.

Artak Shahbazyan was Ararat citizen, he was married and soon would become father.
