Yerkir": "The PAP congress was very good, like Tata’s concert.” Karen Avagyan

Following the 6th congress of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), Karen Avagyan, a member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), left the following message on his Facebook page: “The PAP congress was very good, like Tata’s concert.” (Tata [Albert] Simonyan is a well-known Armenian singer).

That message caused high indignation among young PAP members. One message says: “Karen Avagyan must have forgotten that Armenian President and RPA Chairman Serzh Sargsyan attended the congress as well.”

“We would like to remind young RPA members that none of the participants in the PAP congress left a handle for comparing the congress to Tata’s concert: no one was drunk nor was the president staggering. All of them were ‘sober’,” the newspaper writes.
