The person who threw a grenade into a downtown Yerevan night club-hotel is detained.

It was found out that, on Monday at 1:30 a.m., the club’s patron, Yerevan resident Vardan Demirchyan, 29, had thrown a grenade toward the club’s entrance, and an explosion occurred as a result.

And at 8 a.m. of the same day, police officers detained Demirchyan, but they also found a knife with a secret valve in his possession.

Vardan Demirchyan is under arrest.

A criminal case is launched.

The circumstances of the incident are being ascertained.
