President of Armenia participated in sitting of EurAsEc interstate council.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is in Moscow on a working visit, participated on March 19 in the sitting of EurAsEc interstate council, president’s press service informed.

Heads of the EurAsEC member-states President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon participated in the sitting. Heads of countries having status of observers at EurAsEC – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich and President of Moldova Marian Lupu – were also invited.

The discussions concerned reformation of EurAsEc institutes and efficiency increase of their activity, further development of integration processes in the Eurasian economic area.

In the evening of March 19, President Serzh Sargsyan will participate in a reception of heads of states that participated in the sitting of EurAsEc council on behalf of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
