Seventh gunman was found dead in Chechnya’s capital Grozny, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov told reporters in operations headquarters.
“The seventh criminal was found dead. According to available reports, they planned to stage major terrorist acts in the city, but thanks to actions by law enforcers their plans were broken,” he noted.
Earlier, Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee’s (NAC) confirmed that armed people had seized the House of Press in Chechnya’s capital Grozny after an attack on a checking point of the traffic police and then an anti-terrorist operation began in the city’s center.
A new House of Press will be built in Grozny, the republican leader said.
