The activities directed at renovation and modernization of medical equipment in the medical establishments of the capital will be long lasting

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with the RA Minister of Health Armen Muradyan had a working visit to a number of municipality subordinated policlinics. Within the scope of the visit the Mayor of Yerevan and the Minister of Health familiarized themselves and assessed the process of renovation and heating systems installation carried out in the policlinics N 8.13,15 and "Karmir Blur". The persons in charge of the policlinics presented the new medical equipment purchased by the Municipality. This equipment has significantly improved the quality of work. Referring to the policy adopted by the Municipality and to the activities carried out by the community programs Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that particularly in the recent two years the Municipality of Yerevan carries out programs targeted at renovation and modernization of the medical equipment in municipality subordinated policlinics.

"Attaching importance to the health of our residents we pay special attention to the quality and improvement of the primary medical aid. Particularly in recent years we pay more attention to renovation of medical establishments. In 2014 we managed to disburse AMD 100 million from the community budget to purchase the medical equipment of new generation and I want to assure that this attitude will be continued. Today more than 711 thousand people attend policlinics and our primary task is to renovate the policlinics and the re-equip them with new devices and equipment", stressed Mayor Taron Margaryan.

Within the frames of the visit the Mayor talked to the personnel and the resident. Taking the opportunity the latter thanked Taron Margaryan for permanent attention paid to the sphere and to the organization of the actions of social significance. The Mayor assured that such programs will be long-lasting. The RA Minister of Health Armen Muradyan in his turn attached importance to the programs and particularly to modernization of medical equipment and expressed hope that this process would be continued.
"I am really impressed with the willingness I have noted in the policlinics. I hope other policlinics seeing this activity will follow their example and it will be possible to provide them with similar facilities", said the Minister of Health.

Stressing particular importance of providing proper medical service for the residents Taron Margaryan pointed out that the Municipality of Yerevan is going to set permanent control over meeting the requirements. The Mayor instructed the persons in charge to show courteous and friendly attitude to residents.
