Azerbaijan uses mortars, machine guns and sniper rifles: Karabakh Defense Ministry

The rival violated the ceasefire on the line of contact between the Karabakh­Azerbaijani opposing forces around 400 times from January 17 to January 19, during which a total of 4557 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian military positions. Armenpress reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic that aside from rifle weaponry, this time the rival also used mine throwers, grenade launchers, sniper rifles and machine guns.

The vanguard units of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Defense Army, however, kept the tactical operational situation under constant control, taking retaliatory actions when necessary.
