Azerbaijan makes another subversive penetration attempt: Karabakh MOD

In the night of January 20­21, the rival made another attempt of sabotage and reconnaissance infiltration at around 03:00 in the Karvachar direction of the line of contact of the Karabakh­Azerbaijani opposing armies. The front units detected the advancement of the rival’s special task forces, which were thrown back to the primary positions suffering losses.

The Press Service of the Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic informed “Armenpress” that serviceman Nahapet A. Asatryan (born in 1982) was killed and serviceman Hovhannes O. Gasparyan (born in 1973) was wounded due to the fights. The Ministry of Defense of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic shares the bitter pain of loss and expresses his support to Nahapet A. Asatryan’s family members, relatives, and fellow serviceman. A probe has been launched to reveal the details of the incident.
