Azerbaijan's fire damaged gas pipe in Armenia’s Baghanis

Baghanis Village of Armenia’s Tavush Region was under the Azerbaijani fire last night, in the result of which the local gas pipeline was damaged. Armenpress got informed about it from the Head of the Village Narek Sahakyan. “The village suffered only material damages and no human losses. The houses and the gas pipe were under fire. And all this happened on February 5 from 20:30pm”, said Sahakyan.
Formerly it was reported that the Azerbaijani side fired about 200 times in the direction of several border villages in Tavush Region of Armenia. The Spokesperson of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated about it in the talk with Armenpress. “They were shooting mainly in the direction of the villages. We responded in the direction of their positions”, said Hovhannisyan. In the result of the rival’s shooting, a 60yearold man, Vanik Gurgen Ghukasyan, died in Nerkin Karmiraghbyur village of Armenia. According to one of the villagers, the man was next to his house, when got the deadly wound. To the question, what was the response of the Armenian side to the Azerbaijani encroachment, the Spokesperson of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan said: “We do not leave them without responses and we do not shot the civilians either. We do not have any war with the civilians”.
