Border tension above average: Armenia's Defense Ministry

The level of tension on the Armenian­Azerbaijani and Karabakh­Azerbaijani border has increased three times in three days. The Spokesperson of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Armenpress:

“At the moment the tension on the border has comparatively decreased. It is conditioned by the fact that the rival gets more active at night and in the evening. During the last three nights the situation on the Armenian­Azerbaijani and Karabakh­Azerbaijani border has increased. The number of shots has grown 2­3 times and if compared, the tension on the border is above the average”, ­ said Hovhannisyan, adding that the Armenian soldier, standing on the border, continues controlling the situation, imposing peace upon the opponent.
