OSCE Monitoring in Karabakh’s Martakert Region passed without violations

On March 4, in accordance with the arrangement achieved with the authorities of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic, the OSCE Mission conducted a planned monitoring of the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan in the north­west direction of the Talish village of the NKR Martakert region. The monitoring was conducted by Field Assistant of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman­in­Office Yevgeny Sharov (Ukraine) and staff member of the Office Peter Svedberg (Sweden), as well as by Head of the OSCE High­Level Planning Group (HLPG) Colonel Markus Widmer (Switzerland). From the opposite side of the Line of Contact, the monitoring was conducted by Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman­in­Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk and his Field Assistant Khristo Khristov (Bulgaria), as well as by representative of the OSCE High­Level Planning Group (HLPG) Colonel Tuncay Sevim (Turkey). The monitoring passed in accordance with the agreed schedule. No violation of the cease­fire regime was registered.

From the Karabakh side, the monitoring mission was accompanied by representatives of the NKR Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense.
