Blast at Right Sector office in Odessa not caused by utility lines damage — firefighters

An explosion at the building that houses an office of Ukraine’s radical movement Right Sector in Odessa was not caused by damage to utility lines, firefighters say.
"There is one source of the blast, and it has nothing to do with utility lines," said an officer of a rescue agency working at the site.
The incident occurred at about 00:30 local time (22:30 GMT) on Thursday on the ground floor, housing the office of Right Sector that Russia names among extremist organizations. However, the blast ripped through a next-door room.
The blast wave damaged the first floor, and windows were smashed as high as the third floor. The blast also damaged windows of nearby houses with glass fragments falling on cars parked in front of them.
There were no people in the premises at the time of the explosion, but three homeless people found themselves near the building at that moment. Law enforcement officers are questioning them.

December 2014 and January-February 2015 saw a chain of explosions near buildings housing organizations that support a military operation in Donbas. Law enforcement agencies have qualified all these incidents as acts of terror.
