The regular meeting of the Council of Elders of Yerevan has taken place

At the regular meeting of the Council of Elders, before turning to the items on the agenda Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan informed that the members of the Council Armen Sahakyan, Grigori Grigoryan and Gurgen Yesayan presented applications for resigning from “Prosperous Armenia” faction. It was also noted that in accordance with the order determined by law, they will stay members of the Council of Elders of Yerevan. Starting the items on the agenda the Council unanimously confirmed the draft decisions on placement the memorial board of PhD of Economics, professor, pedagog Vladimir Hayrapetyan and the sculptural portrait of the academician of the Academy of Art of the USSR and People’s Artist of the Arm SSR Ara Sargsyan. The Council also unanimously voted for the draft decisions on placement of the monuments commemorating the missing during the Artsakh deliberation as well as dedicated to the Yazidis fallen at the beginning of the 20th century. The member of the “Republican faction of the Council of Elders Armen Amoyan, Yazidi by nation, thanked the Council on behalf of the Yazidi community for unanimous voting for the project. The Council also confirmed by unanimous voting the decision on naming the newly-built park adjacent to the area of junction of guy avenue with Lvovyan street in the 1st quarter of Nor Nork after the participant of the Artskah war, the RA nation hero Tatul Krpeyan.

Deputy Mayor Vahe Nikoyan presenting the report on Yerevan budget of 2014 noted that it was approved by the independent audit organization. According to the report, the budget increased by 10,6% in comparison with corresponding rates of 2013. Vahe Nikoyan also noted that the draft report had been discussed in accordance with the determined order at the meeting of the corresponding commission, presented to public discussion. The report on the implementation of the budget of 2014 was approved by the Council of Elders by voting.

By the Council’s decision a permission for organization of official parking was given to “Dialab” and “Proshyan brandy factory” Ltd Cos. Other items on the agenda were also approved by the Council of Elders. At the end of the meeting the Mayor of Yerevan and the persons in charge of the Municipality staff answered the questions raised by the members of the family. It was decided to call the next regular meeting of the Council on April 30.
