Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the Zoological garden

Within the frames of the working visit to the capital’s Zoological garden Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan familiarized himself with the process of building activities carried out by means of the city budget. It should be noted that reconstruction of the Zoo built in the 1940s has been carried out in the Zoo for the first time. Accompanied by the director of the Zoo Ruben Khachatryan Mayor Taron Margaryan and his deputies visited the building site of the new vet clinic. The mayor walked about the area of the Zoo, talked to the builders. The director of the Zoo presented the process of the work and noted that after finishing the reconstruction the Zoo will open its doors before the visitors completely renewed. A new playground will be constructed here for little visitors. The playground will be provided with the swings for the children with special needs. New cages for large representatives of the cat family corresponding to international standards will be constructed.
It was also mentioned that landscaping of the area is going on in parallel. Besides, the number of water basins is expanded and the system of lighting is being modernized. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge to keep the process under everyday control and to ensure the finish of the work within determined time. Expressing gratitude to the Mayor of Yerevan for the consistency in the program of reconstruction of the Zoo Ruben Khachatryan stressed that due to the finances allotted by the Municipality of Yerevan the Zoo has the opportunity to carry out various programs. Modernization of the Zoo will be of long duration and in the nearest future all other cages will correspond to the international standards too.
