Armenia’s Minister of Diaspora holds meetings in Great Britain.

Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, who is on an official visit to Great Britain and Northern Ireland, held meetings with Head of the diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) Bishop Vahan Hovhannisian and Head of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation office in Great Britain and Ireland Martin Essayan.
Minister Hakobyan and Mr Martin Essayan discussed projects the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation plans to implement in Armenia.
At her meeting with the Armenian community’s leaders and other representatives Minister Hakobyan delivered a speech on Armenia’s policy related to the Armenia-Diaspora relations, as well as activities and major projects of the Ministry of Diaspora.
The minister answered the attendees’ questions concerning business environment in Armenia and projects of the Ministry of Diaspora.
The following day, Minister Hakobyan visited Surb Sargis and Surb Yeghishe churches, held a meeting with clergymen and community representatives.
At her meetings with the community and church councils Minister Hakobyan spoke of the priorities and preparations for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
In the latter half of the day, Minister Hakobyan held a meeting with the ex-premier of Armenia Armen Sahakyan. The sides discussed the implementation of the ‘Yerevan My Love’ program.
Armenian Ambassador to Great Britain and Northern Ireland Karine Ghazinyan accompanied Minister Hakobyan during her visit.
