The night of April 23­24 on the Armenian­Azerbaijani border was of medium tension. The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated about it in the talk with Armenpress. “At night the situation on the Armenian­Azerbaijani border was of medium tension. The rival fired 200 shots. Fortunately there are no casualties. The shots were mainly towards the positions. All the shots got response”, ­ said Hovhannisyan, Armenpress reports. Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated that at this moment the situation on the border is the same. “It is possible that now the tension has weakened a bit, as in the mornings the tension usually weakens”, ­ said the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.
