Gazprom discussed prospects of interaction in natural gas sphere with North Korea

Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller discussed prospects of interaction in the natural gas sphere with Minister of Oil Industry of the North Korea Pae Hak, the Russian gas holding said on Tuesday.
The parties also discussed areas of cooperation in the natural gas sphere.
Exclusive rights to exploration and development of hydrocarbon fields in the territory of the North Korea are held by the state-owned Korea Oil Exploration Corporation. The corporation is directly subordinate to the DPRK’s oil ministry and is dealing with oil and gas exploration, production, transportation, and scientific research.
Gazprom explored an option of building a gas pipeline over the DPRK to the Republic of Korea earlier.
