The events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide has been held in Le Plessis-Robinson,city of France

At the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the delegation of the administrative district Arabkir, headed by Hrayr Antonyan left for the French city Le Plessis-Robinson to take part in the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Le Plessis-Robinson is one of the partner cities of Arabkir administrative district.
The members of the delegation, accompanied by the Mayor of Le Plessis-Robinson Philip Pemezec, visited the square adjacent to the Municipality of Le Plessis-Robinson, put flowers at the monument to Andranik Ozanyan as well as at the Khackar (cross-stone) symbolizing the friendship between two cities, paid the tribute to the memory of the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide. The members of Andranik Ozanyan’s family, other representatives of the Armenian community of the city were present at the commemoration event. Hrayr Antonyan greeted those present on behalf of Yerevan Mayor and expressed gratitude for being next to the Armenian people on April 24.
Afterwards the Arabkir delegation and the Mayor of Le Plessis-Robinson took part in the ceremony of the opening the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Documentary materials, photos, massacres and expatriation route maps related to the Genocide, references of well-known European periodicals to the tragic events of that period are presented at the exhibition.
The youth football team of the administrative district Arabkir arrived in Le Plessis-Robinson with the delegation of the district to take part in the friendly matches with the local teams and with the teams from England.
