Seeing that distributing fruit jams is not all that well perceived by the society, the ruling coalition’s Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP) designed a new form of bribe for the upcoming parliamentary elections, Zhoghovurd daily writes.
“As the daily’s sources conveyed, the RLP has now begun distributing headscarves to the pensioner women in Vanadzor [city] and neighboring villages.
According to our sources, these are ordinary, cheap headscarves which elderly women in the villages wear. Aside from the headscarves, perfume and food are also distributed on behalf of the RLP.
Naturally, the RLP Spokesperson Harutyun Amiryan denied the news.
And our sources in Vanadzor informed that the [coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia] RPA is likewise active in this matter; it is just that the RPA members so far are only going door to door and signing up people,” Zhoghovurd writes.
