"Haykakan Zhamanak": Suspect in murder case of Gyumri mayor’s future son-in-law known?

Karen Yesayan, would-be son-in-law of Gyumri Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, was murdered on Thursday night.

Rumors claim the couple was to get engaged on Friday.

The accident occurred at the Black Fortress of the memorial complex Mother Armenia in Gyumri. A citizen found the dead man in a Mercedes-Benz and called the police.

Police arrived at the scene.

Rumor has it that the son of the ex-chief of the Ani regional police department is suspected of the murder. He was allegedly seen running away from the scene. The rumors have not been officially confirmed, however.
