500 Syrian­-Armenians arrive in Armenia in recent months

The number of the Syrian-Armenians moving to Armenia has increased in the summer months. A number of families moved to Armenia, another country or a safe place within Syria after the educational exams period was over in Syria. The aforementioned was
informed by the Chief of Staff of the RA Ministry of Diaspora – Firdus Zakaryan ­in an interview with Armenpress. He mentioned that 500 Syrian­-Armenians arrived in Armenia in the recent 1­1.5 month. He added that the number of Syrian-Armenians in Armenia is at least 12.5 thousand. Firdus Zakharyan could not say precisely how many of the 500 Syrian­Armenians who arrived in Yerevan will find their permanent abode in Armenia but he stated that the Ministry of Diaspora does its best to help them get adapted to Armenia.
