Armenia’s National Assembly election campaign season is becoming more interesting with its “knowhow,” Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun daily writes.
“In terms of campaign inventions, the ruling coalition’s Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP) stands out in particular.
According to rumors within the RLP, they have devised a unique example of a campaign trick. According to our information, the RLP-member ministers are instructed to ‘recruit’ those notables who can bring in votes.
After the ‘recruitment,’ [and] by the [given] minister’s order, they are ‘appointed’ to non-existent positions. Subsequently, they are told that great miracles await them after May 6 [parliamentary elections], in terms of promotion in ‘position.’
In many cases, they also promise car keys and staff members,” Chorrord Inknishkhanutyun writes.
