"Zhoghovurd": Singer Tata Simonyan`s producer tugged and hit Photolur Director Melik Baghdasaryan.

The annual Armenian National Music Awards, which was held in the capital Yerevan on Sunday, started off with the obstruction of the journalists’ activities, Zhoghovurd daily writes.

“Grigor Nazaryan, [who is] an organizer of the Awards and who also is the producer of singer Tata Simonyan, tugged and hit Photolur [News Agency] Director Melik Baghdasaryan, [together] with a torrent of profanities. The journalists were eyewitnesses to the scene, and they recorded that the police were pushing aside the photo journalists, instead of Grigor.

Following that unpleasant incident, Melik Baghdasaryan told the newspaper: ‘We, in compliance with the procedure, were accredited [to the Awards ceremony]. But it became apparent that they were not allowing taking pictures inside. We tried to explain; we even argued with the manager, Grigor. [But] This is their monopoly,’” Zhoghovurd writes.
