"Zhoghovurd": Republican Alik Sargsyan backs PAP candidate Eduard Sahakyan.

The daily Zhoghovurd says it has learnt that former chief of the Armenian police, member of the Republican Party Alik Sargsyan visited on March 30 Armenia’s Gegharkunik region – Tsovaghyugh village.

The daily’s sources claim that in # 23 election constituency Alik Sargsyan backs Prosperous Armenia Party’s (PAP) candidate Eduard Sahakyan and visited Gegharkunik to help him. His goal is to go against incumbent police chief Vladimir Gasparyan. The daily tried to clarify the news from Alik Sargsyan but the latter did not answer the phone calls. MP of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), responsible for the party’s Gegharkunik headquarter Hrant Madatyan declined the news, saying there was no such a visit, while residents of Tsovaghyugh village told the paper’s correspondent quite the opposite.
