"Zhoghovurd": Raffi Hovannisian begins his speech with RPA-owned loudspeaker, standing under the RPA placards, reading “Believe, to change.”

In its April 17 issue, the newspaper commented on a secret meeting between Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Chairman of the Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian, mediated by the British embassy in Armenia.

The newspaper’s sources reported some details of the meeting on Tuesday.

According to the sources, the meeting was held after the Heritage party signed the document on a joint campaign headquarters at the Political Scientists Union of Armenia. That was actually the occasion for the party to start setting preconditions thus trying to fail the initiative.

However, Anahit Bakhshyan, a Heritage party member, refuted the rumors. “Nothing of the kind. It is a canard,” she said.

Interestingly, a concert organized by the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) had not finished before Raffi Hovannisian arrived at the Sisian central square.

Standing under the RPA placards reading “Believe, to change” and RPA-owned loudspeaker, Hovannisian began his speech.
