Rival attempts to make subversive action in direction of Artsakh

On August 28 at about 01:40 the opponent made yet another attempt of subversive action in the eastern direction of the line of
contact between Karabakh-­Azerbaijan opposing armies. “Armenpress” was informed from the Press Service of the NKR Defense
Ministry that the frontier units of the Defense Army identified in due time  the advance of the Azerbaijani armed forces special unit
composed of 20-­25 people and forced them back causing casualties to the Azerbaijani side. The Armenian side had no casualties resulting from the combat.

Apart from subversive actions, the rival violated the ceasefire regime for over 110 times firing more than 2000 shots including 35 shots from 60, 82 and 120 mm mortars on August 27 and at the night of August 28. The rival’s actions were suppressed as a result of counterattacks made by the frontier troops of the Defense Army.

The front units of the Defense Army continue confidently carrying out the military objective set before them.
