Garo Paylan starts his speech with Armenian word “Barev” in Turkish Mejlis
Turkey
Turkey's pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party MP Garo Paylan started his speech with Armenian word “Barev Dzez”. “Dear
President, respectable MPs, Barev Dzez,” Paylan said, as “Armenpress” reports, talking about Pro-Kurdish lawyer Tahir Elci’s death,
killed on November 28 in Diyarbakir, during the press conference. He wished peace on Elci’s soul wishing patience to his family.
“Tahir Elci was a Dove of peace, just like Hrant Dink. Hrant Dink spoke about Dove’s peace two days before his death. He said: “Yes, I am in Dove’s peace but I know that pigeons are untouchable in this country,” Paylan mentioned in his speech, telling that it is their obligation to clean up the pollution in the country, which already exists for 8 years. “If we do not fulfill that, crimes will be repeated. Dink’s murder was covered up that is why the crime was repeated today and another “Dove of Peace”;Tahir Elci was killed. Elci believed in peace, brotherhood, negotiations and in democracy,” Paylan mentioned.
He also strongly condemned the arrest of two other journalists who were arrested a few days ago.
“Unfortunately our state officials are direct participants in the crimes for already 100 years, but neither one of them took responsibility for the crimes. As long as crimes are not punished, they will be repeated,” Paylan said.
