Azerbaijan made attempt of subversive act in Artsakh direction

The rival violated the ceasefire regime in the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing armies on January 14 and during the night of January 15. More than 600 shots were fired towards Armenian frontier troops from weapons of different caliber, including AGS­-17 and RPG­7 grenade launchers during the abovementioned period.

As Press Service of NKR Defense Ministry informed “Armenpress”, the adversary made an attempt of a subversive act in eastern direction of the contact line of Karabakh­-Azerbaijani opposing armies at 21:30, January 14. The frontier troops of the Defense Army identified in time the advance of the Azerbaijani special unit and pushed them back causing losses. At least two enemy soldiers were killed as the result and the other members of the group escaped.

During the recorded skirmish Defense Army had no losses.

The frontier troops of the Defense Army of Artsakh control the operative situation and continued to confidently carry out their military duties.
