Armenian soldier killed from Azerbaijani bullet

On February 4 and in the night of February 5, the enemy violated the ceasefire regime on the Karabakh-Azerbaijani contact
line of antagonistic troops, during which the opponent fired more than 1500 shots towards the Armenian positions from rifle
weapons of different caliber.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the Press Service of Nagorno Karabakh Republic, on February 5, at around 03:55, soldier Simon Chavrshyan (born in 1996) was killed from Azerbaijani shot in the military position of the Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic located in the Southern direction.

Investigation has been launched to reveal the details of the incident.

The Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic shares the grief of the irreparable loss, expressing their support to the family members, relatives, and fellow soldiers of the deceased.
