No political articles must be published by newspapers on May 5. Papers can only cover or analyze sports, cultural or scientific events on campaign silence day. CEC member Georgy Martirosyan told Yerkir that if publications contain campaigning elements, media will be fined at a rate of 500-fold to 700-fold minimum wage, according to the Code of Administrative Offences, Article 7401.
