Armenian soldier of Syrian Army killed during clashes with “Islamic State”

Armenian soldier of the Syrian Army has died during operations against Islamist terrorists. As "Armenpress" reports, citing Aleppo "Gandzasar" newspaper, Syrian government forces once again pushed back the militants of the extremist terrorist "Islamic State" organization, who tried to infiltrate Aleppo's industrial district Shaykh Najjar on March 20.

The Syrian army sustained casualties during the clashes, including an Armenian soldier, Gevorg Mkrtchyan, born 1994.
