Armenia is ready to continue negotiations on NK issue settlement after Azerbaijan is called to order and returned to constructive attitude.
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated this on April 27 at the National Assembly, answering the questions of MPs.
“It’s time for the international community to take certain steps to call Azerbaijan to order and return it to constructive attitude. Then it will be possible to continue the negotiation process. Our current meetings and discussions are on the ways to overcome the consequences of Azerbaijan’s recent aggression,” said Nalbandian.
He reminded at the same time that “Armenia never left the negotiation process, Armenia always stood for negotiations solely and it wasn’t Armenia that refused from meetings. If any meetings on the highest level, meeting of Presidents or other officials didn’t take place or were postponed, it was because of Azerbaijan,” noted the Minister.
Edward Nalbandian said that Armenian President’s instructions on preparing a mutual assistance agreement with Artsakh are being carried out.
“It isn’t a simple process, work has to be done on expert and other levels. Once it is finished and according agencies give their opinion, once it’s time to sign such an agreement, it will be done,” said the Foreign Minister.
