Armenian soldier reported dead in Nagorno-Karabakh

A private of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army was found shot to death in a military unit on Wednesday night.

According to the country’s Ministry of Defense, the serviceman was identified as Vahe A Eghoyan, 19.

A probe has been launched into the circumstances.

In a statement released earlier on Thursday, the Ministry reported intensified tensions along the Line of Contact on the night between May 25 and 26. Azerbaijan’s armed forces were reported to have shot fire from sniper guns, and weapons of different calibers, and the AGS 17 grenade launcher.
