The paper says it has learned of three video records that could throw light upon the murder of Karen Yesayan, the would-be son-in-law of the Gyumri mayor, who was stabbed to death in his car a day before his engagement ceremony.
Yesayan’s mother, Anahit Iskandaryan, told the paper that the episodes were fixed by the video cameras of a car wash station, Areximbank and the restaurant and hotel complex Dghyak.
The records reportedly show the accused, Harutyun Sargsyan, approach Yesayan’s car on the murder day, just minutes before he drove on.
Iskandaryan also addressed the paper’s Wednesday material on the suspicious deaths in the family.
“Those deaths are unrelated to one another so there’s no need to search for suspicious motives,” she said, adding that she has absolutely no doubt that Sargsyan had killed her son.
“[Mayor] Vardan Ghukasyan has nothing to do with my son’s murder. Do you know his condition now? He is almost dead. He wanted to wed his daughter to my son,” she said.
