"Zhoghovurd": ARF-D member Artyusha Shahbazyan to waive his mandate.

Citing its well-informed sources, the paper reports that member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) Artyusha Shahbazyan is planning to waive his mandate.

The decision was made to pave the way for “Grand Candy” director Armen Babayan, the 7th in the ARF-D list.

The paper claims the decision comes to compensate Hrant Vardanyan, owner of “Grand Candy”, who had funded the ARF-D election campaign.

Speaking to the daily, Shahbazyan neither confirmed nor rejected the information, though insisted that no one told him to waive his mandate. “All the issues are decided by the Supreme Body,” the paper cited him as saying.
