"Yerkir": Who will become the heads of Armenia’s parliament factions?

The paper says the parties have already decided over the appointments of heads of their parliament factions. The head of the ruling Republican party will be deputy chairman of the party Galust Sahakyan.

Though the head of the Prosperous Armenia party’s faction is party’s leader Gagik Tsarukyan, the faction will be de factor headed by ex foreign minister Vardan Oskanian who will be appointed the faction’s secretary, if the PAP does not form a coalition.

The paper says the Rule of Law party’s faction will be headed by Heghine Bisharyan.

Stepan Demirtchyan from the Armenian National Congress is against appointment of Levon Zurabyan as faction’s head wishing to take the office himself.

As to the Heritage, its leader Raffi Hovhannissyan wants the faction be headed by Ruben Hakobyan while leader of the Free Democrats party Khachatur Kokobelyan is against it. The Armenian Revolutionary-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) has not made the decision yet.
