Elderly man found helpless in his apartment in Yerevan.

Armenia’s Rescue Service received a call, on Wednesday at 11:34pm, informing that water was pouring from a capital city Yerevan apartment down to the apartment underneath, whereas the upper-floor apartment’s resident was not answering to the telephone calls and the doorbell.

A special rescue squad was dispatched to the scene.

In the presence of police officers and condominium officials, the rescuers opened the apartment door and discovered Henrik Sahakyan, 81, in a helpless condition on the kitchen floor.

The ambulance staff transferred the elderly man to hospital.

The doctors say he is in an extremely serious health condition.
