"Yerkir": Samvel Nikoyan and Heghine Bisharyan as NA deputy speakers?
Armenian Press
Though at the latest sitting of its Supreme body, the ruling Republican party has not decided on the staffs of the executive and legislative bodies of the country, everything is already clear.
Thus, the paper claims, Hovik Abrahamyan will become Armenia’s National Assembly chairperson, while Samvel Nikoyan from the RPA and Heghine Bisharyan from the Rule of Law party will be appointed deputy speakers. In case of her appointment, the Rule of Law party’s faction will be headed by Mher Shahgeldyan.
The prime minister’s post will be retained by “irreplaceable” Tigran Sargsyan. One or two ministerial portfolios held by the Prosperous Armenia may be given to the Rule of Law party. Not as much to the RoL party, but rather to Davit Karapetyan and Nelson Zuloyan, close friends of the RPA. The Rule of Law will probably get the portfolio of sports and youth affairs minister, while the office of transport and communication minister will be taken from it.
