PAP leader Gagik Tsatukyan had to exert much effort to make chairman of Union of Political Scientists Hmayak Hovhannisyan give up his parliamentary mandate, 168 Zham reports. “According to our sources, at first Hovhannisyan did not agree to renounce his mandate and gave a long explanation to his stance. According to the same sources, Hovhannisyan agreed to refuse his mandate only after Tsarukyan held a gun to his face,” the paper says. Hovhannisian did not try to deny the report to the paper. He only said that he had made a statement and had nothing else to add, the paper writes.
