President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received French Senators Sophie Joissains, Philippe Marini and Bernard Fournier on Saturday in Yerevan.

The Armenian and French sides have touched upon the developing bilateral relations, claiming they testify to centuries-old friendly relations between the two nations, presidential press service informs. Armenian community in France has its role in the reinforcement of the relations as well.

The President welcomed the French Senators’ visit to Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] stressing one of the key pre-conditions for the Karabakh peace process is its fair and complete integration in the international community.

The senators shared their impression on Artsakh visit with the President of Armenia, claiming it was quite useful. Following the peace talks, they welcome Armenia’s constructive approach.
