Major blast at Yerevan plant causes building’s collapse: two reported dead (updated).

Yerevan’s Elektron plant collapsed on Tuesday afternoon as a result of a major explosion that caused fire, photo reporter Gagik Shamshyan told Tert.am.
Minister of Emergency Situation Armen Yeritsyan has arrived on the scene with the ministry’s senior officials and a team of experts. Rescuers and the police officers are also reported to be on the plant’s territory.
Witnesses told Shamshyan that they heard three strong explosions which were followed by fire.
Shamshyan then informed that a dead body has been pulled out from the debris. The deceased was identified as Adibek Barsamyan (64). Another man, Janibek Martirosyan (67), has been hospitalized with bodily injuries. Later, Janibek Martirosyan also died in hospital without coming to consciousness.
