14 Students Absent on the First Day of State Exams

Today joint state exams were lauched in Armenia. The exams were held in two examination centers: #189 senior school and # 14 basic school. 320 studens took Biology exam in senior school # 189, Yerevan, 14 of which were absent, stated the press secretary of the Ministry of Education and Science Gayane Manukyan. The latter mentioned that Geography and General History exams are due today as well.

She said that the Center for Evaluation and Testing gave its first assesment to the exams. “They mentioned that the exam center is duely prepared and organized. The Ministry of Education and Science decided that school # 189 will further become one of the main examination centers.”-announced Gayane Manukyan.

1938 students applied to take Biology exam (including Karabakh), 397 students applied for General History exam and 392 students- for Geography exam. Most students applied to take exams on the Armenian Language amd few on Italina, Spanish and Persian Languages.

According to the number of students who applied to take state exams, an examination center was formed in each region, except Syunik. In Yerevan and Syunik two examination centers were formed.
