“Yerkir” daily: Governor of Syunik Surik Khachatryan Not Present at Last Sessions of RPA Executive Body and Board

The Governor of Syunik Surik Khachatryan was not present at the last sessions of the RPA Executive Body and the Party Board, during which the RA President and RPA Chairman Serzh Sargsyan recommended Tigran Sargsyan for the candidacy of the Prime Minister. The recommendation was unanimously approved by the RPA.
The absence of the Governor of Syunik had its proper excuse. On the very day, the latter had attended the funerals of his uncle. The Governor personally informed of this during his conversation with Yerkir. He also rushed to note that he hadn’t been aware of what was to be discussed at the session.
Nonetheless, the daily reporter has tied to find out the Governor’s opinion whether Tigran Sargsyan’s candidacy was the best choice. In response Khachatryan said, “Of course it was the best as he was nominated by the President. It couldn’t be otherwise.”
