New Diversion in Horadiz on Azerbaijani Side. One Armenian Soldier Perished, Two Injured

On the night of June 6, at 04:15 a.m. Azerbaijani side tried to intrude into one of the military posts in south sector of Armenian-Azerbaijani border (in the direction of Horadiz). Due to their vigilance the Armenian forces were quick enough to repel the invaders and sent them back. As a result of counter-firing the enemy suffered significant losses. During defense battles the Armenian side had losses as well.

During the neutralization of the Azerbaijani diversion group, junior sergeant Vardan Roberti Ohanyan was killed. Soldiers Arayik Geghami Mavreyan and Volodya Yurai Tsatryan were injured.

It’s noteworthy that during June this has been the fourth diversion attempt of the Azerbaijani army on the Armenian-Azerbaijani and Azerbaijani-NKR border. This gives grounds to assume that official Baku is not only inclined to constructively and peacefully resolve the conflict and conduce to increasing the efficiency of the efforts of international organizations but does its best to change the status quo in the region.

The leadership of Azerbaijan and in particular the commanders of the armed forces seem not to understand that this tactic of attacks is not only efficient but can also cause unpredictable consequences for Azerbaijan.
