“Yerkir” Daily: Tigran Sargsyan Resists Gagik Beglaryan’s Appointment as Minister

New issues arose in RPA as regards to distribution of ministerial portfolios. Although the government staff will not undergo serious changes, Tigran Sargsyan has certain concerns regarding the new government. Sargsyan wants to have easily controllable people in ministerial posts, who will be under his direct management. In this context, according to the information of the daily, Tigran Sargsyan resists Gagik Beglaryan’s appointment as Minister. Beglaryan’s appointment as a Minister has been discussed for quite a long time now. Media sources reported that he will be appointed either Minister of Transport and Communication or Minister of Territorial Administration.

The daily informed earlier that Beglaryan is most likely to be appointed Minister of Territorial Administration, which worries Tigran Sargsyan most, since he wants to keep Armen Gevorgyan in this post. Also, Beglaryan does not intensively fight for his appointment.
