“Yerkir” Daily: Vahan Hovhannisyan Has Doubts about Oskanian’s Involvemnt in such a Severe Crime

NA Deputy, member of ARF faction Vahan Hovhannisyan does not exclude that the criminal case filed against former Minister of Foreign Affairs Vardan Oskanian may be connected with his recent active political participation.

In an interview with a journalist of “Yerkir” daily Hovhannisyan stated that he personally knows Oskanian and his family and doubts that he may be involved in such a severe crime.

“If political pursuit is concealed under criminal accusations, it is absolutely unacceptable both for me and for ARF. However, I doubt that these accusations are really against Oskanian.”

To RPA speaker Sharmazanov’s statement that the era of political pursuits in Armenia is in the past, ARF deputy replied that he doesn’t share Mr. Sharmazanov’ s optimism.
