“Haykakan Zhamanak”: As of May of Current Year over 78 Thousand People Departed from Armenia and Never Returned

During the first five months of this year over 78 thousand people departed from Armenia through various transport means and never returned. Yesterday this number was publicized by the state migration service of RA Territorial Administration Ministry.

During the same period of the previous year, over 69 thousand left and never returned to Armenia. It means that the index for the current year compared to the previous year grew by 13%. Only in May approximately 21 thousand citizens departed from Armenia.

The five-month bus transport figure in the number of those who left but not returned is a bit more than 8,000 people, and solely the May indicator made for 1,628 people.
