“Haykakan Zhamanak”: Gas Price will Rise

Newspaper close to Russian “Gazprom” company informed that since October 1 of this year the price of Russian gas provided to Armenia will rise.
Accordingly, 1000 cubic meters of gas on RA border will cost 280 US dollars.
The same sources state that since January 1 of the next year price of gas will become 320 dollars. Currently the Armenian side is holding negotiations with “Gazprom” in order to remain the price of gas the same and to rise prices less. But, according to the newspaper sources, during the first stage of negotiations “Gazprom” didn’t change its mind.
Negotiations are still being held, but optimistic perspective is rather small.
The newspaper states that according to official data “Gazprom” provides gas to RA 1000 cubic meters for 180 dollars, and according to the data of the RA customs service – for 220 dollars.
If price of the gas provided to Armenia rises, it will rise for the consumers either.
