Iranian Navy ships prevented Somali Pirates attempt to attack a Singapore merchant ship.
As Iranian “IRNA” news agency announces, at the moment of coming out of the Bab-el-Mandeb Canal the pirates, intended to take the ship, surrounded it with about 12 powerboats. However, a little later Iranian ships arrived in aid, and after a short skirmish the pirates were forced to retreat.
